After reading the daily editors note from last week, I was so shocked, I feel compelled to comment. I usually can’t get though 2 sentences as the editors writing is so pompous and full of errors, but I made myself get through the rambling I’ll call “Triumph of the Weak.”

The editor should put the pompoms down before we have to surgically remove their head from the backside of Rutland City. Blathering on about how selling Rutland City water would be such a great idea, while the report that lists excessive organic toxins, is still fresh on the desks in city hall. He propels the foolhardy, while overlooking all the facts of the case. He daydreams away while thinking of what will go on the bottle of water. In its present state, Rutland City water would have a skull and cross bones on the bottle and would make no sense for anyone to purchase it for human consumption.

Do we need to have another publication locally that just picks apart fact from fiction in the firestarter we call The Rutland Herald? Do we still read it for amusement or can it still provide the community with honest and fair reporting. It has failed the community and is now working against what’s best for the community. Rutland needs more honesty rather than the destructive, divisive filth The Rutland Herald spews like a sewer treatment plant. Rutland City itself is a big enough mess and translating this propaganda is only taking us further from the truth. Let us be done with The Rutland Herald and the horse manure it shovels at us everyday.
